“I loved studying with Practical Outcomes Early Child care Education. The support from my teacher was amazing and I learned so much with the flexible learning options and being able to study in the classroom and at work in a practical placement environment.”
— Belinda Arscott, Jenny’s Early Learning Centre
“Studying through Practical Outcomes not only allowed me to learn hands-on within a real-life working environment, but ensured I had a sound understanding of all childcare requirements needed to be the best educator possible before being signed off and qualified.”
— Naomi Alexopoulos, Nursery Team Leader at The Sanctuary At Hillside.
“My experience with practical outcomes was really good in the end. I faced some challenges as my trainer was changed three times but I ended up with Cara who was extremely helpful and would respond to any questions in a timely manner. She made me comfortable and confident in asking for help and gave really good feedback. I do wish the course would have focused more on inclusion of all cultures rather than just the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, but I do feel very confident in this area now. While I do believe childcare is best learnt through a hands on approach, I think I picked up a lot of useful and important information that has helped make me a competent and involved educator with a strong educating philosophy and would definitely recommend practical outcomes.”
— Ella Baldwin, Brady Bunch ELC Strathfieldsaye
“From all the feedback from those who participated over the days, the course was very enjoyable, easy paced and the trainers were very good with excellent childcare education knowledge and able to pass on the information to the participants. Everyone enjoyed it.”
— John Byron, Training Supervisor at Ventura/Grenda
“During the course I was trained and instructed by Trainer Cara McCumber. I would like to start by thanking Cara for her dedication and effort throughout the course. It’s evident that she care deeply about the subject and about helping us grow in our understanding of childcare.
I really appreciated the way Cara broke down complex concepts into manageable pieces. Her explanations were clear, and the real-life examples she provided made the material feel practical and relevant.
I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of child development and feel more confident in my ability to apply this knowledge in real-life situations. Cara’s insights into how children learn have given me new tools to support their growth.
Overall, I really enjoyed the course and feel more prepared for my future work in childcare. Thank you again for her enthusiasm and commitment to our learning. I look forward to applying everything I’ve learned”
— Jenny Tran, Diploma of Childhood Education and Care
“Thank you so much for your kind words and heartfelt congratulations. I truly appreciate your support and encouragement throughout my learning journey. Completing the Diploma has been a rewarding experience, and your guidance played a significant role in helping me achieve this milestone.
I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to continuing to grow and make a positive impact in the early childhood education field. Thank you once again for believing in me.”

Recognition of Prior Learning
Practical Outcomes offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) on every course.
At Practical Outcomes, providing recognition of prior learning is a process that includes interviewing you and analysing your current skills and knowledge against the qualification you are applying for. We then determine with you which units you have been granted RPL for and which units (if any) we can train you in to all any knowledge or skill gap you might have. We will work with you then to design a training program to suit your needs. We provide a streamlined process that eliminates the mountains of paper work that is often associated with recognition programs and develop a system that works for you.
Once you enquire, the RPL model includes observations in the workplace and professional conversations with an RPL assessor about your skills, knowledge and your work practices.
Once we have determined your level of skills and knowledge, you will receive a statement of attainment, and/or a training plan that will guide you to completing the course.
If you have a gap in your knowledge or skills we will work with you to build a learning and assessment program that meets your needs. Once re-assesed, you will receive your statement of attainment.
